Some people who fundraise or donate to Brake have been affected by death or injury in a road crash and want to give something back to the cause, to help Brake campaign to stop more casualties and support other people who are injured or bereaved.
Donations at a funeral
Some people bereaved by road crashes choose to generously fundraise for Brake by asking for donations instead of flowers at a funeral or memorial service. If you wish to do this and would like some words about Brake and the use of our logo for a funeral programme, please call Caroline on the details above.
Other people bereaved by road crashes choose to hold an event as a celebration in memory of a loved one who died (such as a dinner dance featuring their favourite music, or a sports event featuring their favourite sport) so friend and family can commemorate together while also raising funds for Brake and celebrating a loved one's life. Call Caroline on the details above for support running your event. You can also use these tips to help you organise a successful event.
You can use Givealittle to set up a fundraising page for your event.
You could hold a collection for Brake at your workplace, school or club, or in local shops. Call Caroline on the details above for help setting this up.
Personal and team challenges
You could take on a personal or team challenge, such as a hill walk or parachute jump in memory of your loved one and in aid of Brake. Browse our fundraising pages for ideas, or call Caroline on the details above to talk about what you want to do.
