Due to last minute interest, the deadline for entering Brake’s 2019 Australasian Fleet Safety Awards has been extended to Friday 21 June 2019. Fleet operators and suppliers who want to gain recognition for their fleet safety initiatives should visit https://globalfleetchampions.org/fleet-safety-awards/australasia-awards/ to enter.
This is the fifth year Brake has run the awards, recognising the achievements of fleet operators and suppliers working to help reduce the number of road crashes involving at-work drivers. The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on Thursday 12 September 2019 in Auckland.
The Australasian Fleet Safety Awards are supported by headline sponsors NZ Transport Agency, along with individual award sponsors Bridgestone, SurePlan and Suzuki NZ. This year's awards are being offered in the following categories:
- Company Driver Safety Award
- Fleet Safety Product Award
- Road Safety in the Community Award
- Safe Vehicles Award
- Sustainable Journeys Award
- Road Risk Manager of the Year Award
- Outstanding Commitment to Road Safety Award
Caroline Perry, Brake's NZ Director, says: "We're delighted at the level of last-minute interest in the Fleet Safety Awards. Entering the awards is a fantastic opportunity for organisations and individuals to gain recognition for their successes in improving fleet safety, and so we're extending the awards deadline to allow these organisations to submit an entry and be in the running for an award. The awards are free and simple to enter, and I'd encourage anyone who has not yet had the chance to enter to take advantage of the deadline extension."
