- The award winners will be announced in Auckland on Thursday 29 September 2016
Due to a high level of last minute interest, the deadline for entering Brake’s 2016 Australasian Fleet Safety Awards has been extended to Friday 1 July 2016. Fleet operators and suppliers who want to gain recognition for their fleet safety initiatives should enter online at www.fleetsafetyawards.com/nz.
The awards recognise the achievements of fleet operators and suppliers working to help reduce the number of road crashes involving at-work drivers. The winners will be announced at Brake’s annual reception for supporters on Thursday 29 September 2016 in Auckland.
This year’s awards will be offered in the following categories:
- Company Driver Safety Award
- Fleet Safety Product Award
- Safe Vehicles Award
- Road Risk Manager of the Year Award
- Outstanding Commitment to Road Safety Award
This is the second year Brake has run the awards, building on the success of its UK Fleet Safety Awards which have been running for over a decade.
The Australasian Fleet Safety Awards are supported by sponsors SurePlan, Suzuki NZ, Telogis and Thrifty Car Rentals.
Caroline Perry, Brake’s NZ Director, says: “We’re delighted that the level of last-minute interest in this year’s Fleet Safety Awards has been so high. Entering the awards is a fantastic opportunity for organisations and individuals to gain recognition for their successes in improving fleet safety, and so we’re extending this year’s awards deadline to allow these organisations to submit an entry and be in the running for an award. The awards are free and simple to enter, and I’d encourage anyone who has not yet had chance to enter to take advantage of the deadline extension.”
